Notes:
(*) LATAM Champion at ICPC Regional Contests at the same competition cycle.
(+) In the Awards Ceremony of the 1999 World Finals, in the Netherlands, the organizers awarded the plaque of LATAM Champion to the UBA team, but it was almost a tie with the IME-USP team (and by a small time difference it seems that the first ones were really the Brazilians), later the ICPC organizers sent the plaque of LATAM Champion to the IME-USP team. Therefore, this year we have two LATAM champions.
(~) The teams that solved 6 problems won Gold Medals, those who solved 5 problems won Silver Medals and those who solved 4 problems won Bronze Medals.
(%) The bronze medal was awarded 2 months after the event, according to this specific rule: "Additional Bronze Medals may be awarded to teams solving the same number of problems as the twelfth place team and in a total elapsed time no more than 60 minutes more than the twelfth place team. Such teams will be awarded the twelfth place."
